Overemphasis on effective use of technical resources

Systems of production were previously designed and located with greater emphasis being placed on the effective use and longevity of the machinery involved than on the welfare of the workers. For this reason, many industries are having to totally revise their production systems in order to maintain efficiency and comply with new ecological and labour requirements.
