Christ consciousness as forgiving mind (Christianity)
Description
The mind which is empty is also forgiving. The structure of values is not a logical returning in proportion to what has been received but a gratuitous, free and irrational bestowing of love where there is no objective deserving. Forgiveness implies flexibility, not holding past behaviour against a person and not restricted by accepted legal structures or social codes. The burden of past sins is lifted in the attitude and behaviour that is not bound by the brokenness of life as it is normally lived together. The behaviour attitude of forgiveness is love.
