Christ consciousness as dying-rising (Christianity)

Description

The Christian has died in Christ and is risen with Christ. The total self-emptying of Christ's death, actively and intentionally making himself vulnerable and giving himself over to the power of another, is the act in which he is raised and filled. Jesus is not bound by any forms, even those of life and death. In Christian consciousness, to hold onto one's life boxes it in, confines it and closes it from possible new directions. To lose one's life is to allow it to flow, to be open, shared or empty. To die means to rise, to be empty is to be full.
