This leads to task forces in the community moving into community activities and concerns, and training others.

Tactics include: academic training to equip the individual with knowledge for societal group participation; recruitment training to provide methods of recruitment; polity training to provide skills related to group decision-making and community consensus; experiential training assist in coping with realities; and occupational training to expand occupational image and experience. An example is offering training to employees who are unmotivated, to allow them to see their participation as an important part of the end result.
The philosophy of the school of the Soliga people (Karnataka, India) is that education is aimed at spontaneous blossoming of child's personality with an attitude of service and pride and confidence in their culture. They expect to work for the community in due course. The curriculum covers all normal subjects at the national standard, but many things beside: herbal gardening, value education, especially with regard to tribal values, and encouragement of tribal culture. Information about tribal folklores, songs and tribal culture has been compiled into a course on environmental studies. One 12 year old Soliga boy was found to be able to identify 260 different species of forest leaves.
