  1. Old economics loses everything it fails to measure. Women are lost if economics simply tracks what happens to households as a whole. Nature is lost, because its services are not valued. People working in the informal economy -- up to a third of people in poor countries -- are lost. The contribution of traditional knowledge and cultural diversity is lost.
