Managing information chaos
Implementation
The Virtual Diplomacy project of the U.S. Institute of Peace explores the impact of global networks and information technologies on international relations diplomacy and crisis management. One workshop called "Managing information chaos" addressed some of the following questions: (1) How can decision makers and practitioners separate valuable information amidst the white noise? (2) How can policymakers, diplomats, NGOs and media maintain their credibility with a public that has access to multiple-source global information flows? (3) Does decision making and persuasion increasingly depend on information intermediaries?
