Abolishing death penalty

The International League for the Abolition of the Death Penalty by the Year 2000 aimed to abolish all constitutional laws and articles providing for the death penalty to be inflicted following a sentence pronounced by a legally constituted court. It also sought to establish strict and progressive penal regulations to replace such penalty. It was active through the World Parliamentary Campaign to Abolish the Death Penalty by the Year 2000.
