Paralysis in individual decision-making

Claim

  1. The rapid change symptomatic of the 20th Century, together with a lack of fixed parameters on which to base decisions (exemplified in the relativity of the universe and the uncertainty principle) has created a paralysis in attitudes which does not permit people to find significant ways to commit themselves in helping create the future.
