Misuse of nonprofit associations as front organizations by government

In the superpowers' cold war, 'Trojan horse' organizations have been created to mask espionage, subversion and propaganda. Organizations involved have been trade and professional associations: for example, those of journalists, trading companies, research institutions, universities and cultural organizations.
