Educational materials used in schools and for public information purposes may deliberately make use of words and phrases which help to develop prejudice, misunderstanding and conflict. The locally accepted standards of scholarship, justice and morality may not be applied to other nations, cultures, religions or groups, and due recognition and representation of their contribution to society may be deliberately ignored.
The debate on the relationship between free speech and pornography needs to be reframed in such a way as to make it clear that pornography is a form of hate speech directed against women, namely a form of speech that is intolerant of women's equal rights. Those who do not subscribe to this view are necessarily themselves to be considered as pornographers. In this sense there is a genre of talented writers and artists who are blatantly pornographic to a degree which would be unacceptable in relation to antisemitism or racism.
