Limestone dust

Nature

During production and use of lime and limestone dust is created that is hazardous to health. Limestone dust mixed with free silica as found in limestone quarries can cause pharyngitis, bronchitis and emphysema. Pure lime dust is known to cause bronchitis and pneumonia.
