Fragmented images of personal freedom

Neither formal nor informal education provides the means for integrating current images of personal freedom; people have no understanding of the context or the origin of these images. This results in a lack of responsible decision-making, as the traditional views of freedom are replaced by vacuous models which reinforce escapism.
