Chinese medicine recognizes six Yang Organs: the Gall Bladder, Stomach, Small Intestine, Large Intestine, Bladder and Triple Burner. They are storage Organs or "hollow" Organs. The Yang Organs receive, break down and absorb that part of the food that will be transformed in fundamental substances, and transport and excrete the unused portion.
The Yang Organs are considered more external and generally less medically important.
