Conflicting requirements of production and workers

  • Disrelation between production and human need

Claim

  1. The inability of production staff supervisors to build an effective work force in the face of the development of instruments of production with capacities beyond the wildest of dreams, coupled with the frustratingly high national and international rates of unemployment in spite of unbelievable human need across the world, points to the disrelationship between production capabilities and work force needs. The sheer number of types of specialization and their increasing narrowness, generates ambiguity about one's work role and one's role in the future of the planet. At the time of the early labour movements and the communist revolutions workers saw that they were in the vanguard of social creativity. Being a worker was caring for the planet. This is largely gone leaving a gap between working and living.
