Common graves

In 1990, the Brazilian group Tortura Numca Más - R J reported that about 1,700 dead bodies, clandestinely buried in a mass grave, were discovered in a cemetery of the city of Sao Paulo. Two corpses were identified through relatives to have been missing since 1971 and 1972. The Municipality of Sao Paulo began an official investigation in the same year.
