Abortion tourism

Incidence

Even before Poland's new anti-abortion law came into force in 1993, travel entrepreneurs were organizing short trips to foreign clinics. A three day trip to a Russian enclave on the Baltic Sea cost around $200 (in USA currency). Polish lawyers have expressed the opinion that the companies would be accessories to a crime, but that wrongdoing would be difficult to prove.
