Transpersonal ecology

  • Identification

Description

In terms of ecosophy and the awareness of the self in the widest sense, development is through the process of identification in as wide and deep a sense as possible. Three forms of identification are delineated: Personal – referring to the identification arising as one interacts and becomes involved with other entities; Ontological – referring to the realization of the 'is-ness' of things; Cosmological – referring to the realization that one is united with all other things in a single reality, a single process. It is the latter two identifications that can really be thought of as 'transpersonal'.
