Magical consciousness

Description

The second stage within the evolution of consciousness, in which man is propelled from the O-dimensional identity with the universe, being the world, into 1-dimensional unity, having the world. The origin of will, magic becomes means of emancipation from nature. Conceptualized by Gebser, magical consciousness holds five characteristics: egolessness; pointlike, unitary world; time- and spacelessness; bondage to nature; magical reaction towards this bondage.
