Training peacekeeping troops

The US Army's required new field manual on peacekeeping/peace-enforcing is required reading for many officers. Peacekeeping and peace-enforcing principles are also turned into practice through training and exercise. The US army is shortening the time it takes to absorb the lessons of actual overseas operations and introduce them into its training.
