Strengthening market structures

Description

Increasing quality and goods exchange with the global market and reconstructing local structures to respond to local needs. The effect is to decrease unemployment, change production output, proportion merchants' buying power and find competent personnel.

Context

An integral part of equitably distributing goods through globally coordinated commodity exchange.

Implementation

Tactics include: control standards to guarantee uniformity, continuity, equity, and order in goods exchanges; credit unions to furnish ready cash when needed and provide security and stability; local markets to provide all needed purchasable goods at local levels; co-operative financing to provide an ongoing and sustaining economic framework in that local community; and shopping guides to hold the marketing structures accountable to both local and global needs. An example would be the recall of canned foods where the possibility of botulism exists.
