Implementation

The Society for the Study and Prevention of Infant Death fosters research on all aspects of infant deaths and provide a forum for exchange of information pertaining to such research, as well as promoting education and training in infant death research. The Society has established and maintains standards of reporting and classifying data on infant deaths, and promotes joint research, standardization and prevention projects throughout Europe. Permanent workgroups maintain activities on: clinical problems; epidemiology and public health; pathology; physiology; and the psychosocial aspects of infant death.
