Reorienting political focus

Description

Engaging local citizenry in refocusing the local political power structures to bring about political participation by all. The effect is the provision of a political vehicle which has the power and authority to sustain the others. It is thus the vehicle for developing responsible power.

Context

An integral part of awakening global individuals to assume global responsibility by creating structures for catalyzing community consensus to which each individual is accountable.

Implementation

Tactics include: leadership development to raise up potential grassroots leaders; issue identification to determine current concerns; community reorganization to re-shape local groups to enable broader representation in decision-making; bureaucracy permeation to reorient existing community structures; and discerned consensus to methodologically glean local wisdom. An example is the permeation and recontexting of existing bureaucracy to be representative and responsive to the needs of people.
