Recycling graves

Context

Some regions or areas of the World are so short of space for grave burials, or will be in the future, that alternatives need to be considered. One proposal has been grave recycling. The controversial option may not be as impractical or disrespectful if certain standards are maintained. One could bury deeper into the ground so that coffins could be stacked. Graves might only be considered for re-use if there has been no interment in the last 50 or 75 years, or at least as long as to allow for full decomposition of the grave's human remains. The remaining bone fragments might then be exhumed and (with religious dignity) be reinterred in a small casket, but at a greater depth. Alternatively, one could always opt for cremation.
