An oral history project funded by the Canadian International Research Linkages Program, records the cultural changes, perceptions and aspirations of women in the Adnyamathanha Aboriginal community in South Australia and the Sechelt people in Canada. Video-conferencing between the six participating women has been an important facet of the project. The research grew from a large collaborative project with colleagues on the effect of white intrusion on the art and creativity of indigenous peoples. These communities are very concerned that their knowledge and culture are not being passed on to the younger generation.
