Nature

In Chinese medicine, the clinical significance of abnormal facial colours is as follows: white denotes disharmonies of deficiency or cold, or of pain; red denotes excess heat or fire; yellow denotes dampness or deficiency. Brightness, lustrelessness and withering, puffiness and degrees of colour qualify the diagnosis.
