Background

Solisorex pearsoni is the single species of the Solisorex genus. It has only been recorded from the central highlands of Sri Lanka, at elevations of 1100 to 1850m. It is thought to prefer virgin forest as its habitat, but little is known of the ecology of this species.

Incidence

Solisorex pearsoni is considered as "Endangered" by the IUCN.
