Ranunculus anemoneus the Anemone Buttercup, a species listed as "Vulnerable" by the 1997 IUCN Red List for plants, is gradually recovering in areas previously subject to grazing by cattle and sheep in the alpine areas of Kosciuszko National Park. Its Current Distribution is Alpine habitats; alpine herbfields, usually near streams and snow patches or in rock crevices of Kosciuszko National Park.
