Background

Pan troglodytes troglodytes is found throughout; Angola, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon and Nigeria.

Incidence

Pan troglodytes troglodytes is considered as "Endangered" by the IUCN. CITES lists the species as "Appendix 1".
