Myotis myotis is distributed throughout; Albania, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Czechoslovakia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Syria, Turkey, Ukraine, and Yugoslavia. It is thought to be extinct in the United Kingdom.

Incidence

Myotis myotis is considered by the IUCN as a "Lower Risk" sub-category "near threatened" species.
