Background

Ichthyophaga ichthyaetus is distributed throughout: Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Viet Nam.

Incidence

The Grey-headed Fish-eagle is considered as a "Lower Risk" sub-category " near threatened" species by the IUCN. CITES lists the species as "Appendix 2".
