Crocidura pergrisea is known from Montane areas in Kashmir, specifically the sites of Baltisatan, Shigar and Skoro Loomba. Adaptation to semi-arid conditions has occured.
Crocidura pergrisea is considered as "Vulnerable" by the IUCN.
