Static social relations inhibiting vision of the future

To claim full humanity in the 20th century requires being a global citizen and appropriating the cultural gifts of others. The vision of a new social direction requires realistic and creative options to impinge on apparent possibilities. However, attempts to maintain cultural purity misunderstand the need for a dynamic interaction before growth can happen. Many communities have deteriorated to ethnic or social-status ghettos, limiting themselves in static cultural areas without employing the gifts of other social groups.
