Scepticism

Nature

A doubting or questioning attitude of mind, scepticism originally related to a philosophical doctrine that absolute knowledge is impossible and that inquiry must be a process of doubting in order to acquire relative certainty. Scepticism often leads to caution and lack of willingness to take bold measures or steps. It may also lead to apathy regarding matters of morality, politics and social injustice.
