Risk of contracting AIDS through lesions

Only 1 in the 140,000 cases of AIDS in the USA reported up to 1990 involved a dentist who had AIDS accidentally infecting a patient through the blood in an open wound in her mouth. She later developed AIDS.

1. AIDS can "theoretically" be transmitted by contact lenses, infected food, mosquito bites, French kissing and contaminated toilet seats.
