Although restrictive business practices attributed to transnational enterprises may not differ in form from those operated by purely national firms, their international character means that their impact on trade and competition is more significant. The reasons for this difference are to be found in their superior size, superior economic power, easier access to international financial markets and raw materials, as well as in their superior technological and management standards. They also play a greater role in the process of concentration and in concentrated markets.
