Restrictions on recognition of nationality

A person may be without a nationality due to not acquiring one at birth or by losing it due to marriage, legitimation, recognition by their natural parents or adoption. Such persons are generally in less favourable positions than those provided for refugees with regard to wage-earning employment and right of association.
