Nature

Reckless endangerment is creating the circumstances that another person is at risk of serious bodily harm or death. Tampering with motor carriers, dams, nuclear facilities, etc. carry the danger of death or disability and are crimes. Reckless driving is also a dimension of this crime. Recklessness, involving the awareness of high risk, is contrasted with negligence in which there should have been awareness of the existence of such risk.
