Predominance of certain ethnic groups in drug-related crime

In the UK, almost 30% of prisoners serving sentences for drug offences are from the Afro-Caribbean community, which makes up just 1.3% of the population. Prisoners from the Indian sub-continent accounted for 8.2% of drugs convictions, three times their representation in the population at large.
