Obsession with doing

Claim

Humans have evolved into a species obsessed with doing as opposed to being. This is primarily manifested in the unrelenting need to shape, mould, eliminate or, in sum, control anything that resembles the wild, namely anything that threatens human ability to control (or appear to control) an individual's ultimate destiny. Technological advances have seduced humans into the delusion that control of nature (and even death) is actually possible.
