Nature

These viruses have an envelope and are distinguished by their shape (pleomorphic, spherical or kidney-shaped) and by club-shaped surface projections dispersed evenly over all the surface of the envelope. They contain one molecule of linear positive-sense single stranded RNA.

Nidoviruses infect vertebrates.
