Neurogenic voiding dysfunction

Neurogenic voiding dysfunction refers to all types of bladder dysfunction caused by neurologic disease or any type of neurologic damage. Symptoms include incontinence and the inability to completely empty the bladder at an acceptable pressure. Complications, in addition to those specifically related to incontinence and poor emptying, include urinary tract and overwhelming systemic infection and silent but significant kidney damage.
