Nativism is a revitalization movement closely connected with utopianism and revivalism, manifesting the rejection of aliens and alien culture and the purification of the utopian culture. It is thus comparable to such popular beliefs as faith in the existence of a land without evil, or in the ultimate arrival of a messiah, or the coming of a millennium.
