Late nights are believed to encourage increases in crime, alcoholism, drug addiction and car accidents, as well as reducing productivity at work, or study, and increasing occupational risks.

Incidence

In Greece in 1994, a new law authorized special security forces to conduct raids on nightclubs to ensure that they close by 2am, as opposed to sunrise as was their practice.

Claim

People have to understand that they can no longer sleep standing up at work and that they have to go to bed at a reasonable hour.
