Claim

  1. Arbitrating is valuable in keeping markets efficient. It can take place when the usual price relationships are distorted and someone intervenes in an attempt to make a profit by simultaneously purchasing one commodity against the sale of another, or the same commodity for delivery date but on different exchanges, etc.
