Isolating social forms inhibiting ethical relations

Claim

  1. At the local level, ethical relations are blocked by the continuing operation of isolating, inadequate structures which prohibit meaningful participation in society. People become frustrated by a sense of vague community obligation which causes feelings of being trapped and impotent. There is a sense of paralysis in the ability to care for others through social organizations: people feel themselves to be victimized when they are not in a position to receive care from these same organizations.
