In Belgium, 1.6 million dogs excrete 150,000 tonnes of waste every year, some 25,000 tonnes in urban parks and on pavements. The equivalent outputs of dogs in Paris, Berlin and London are 18,000, 14,000 and 6,000 tonnes respectively.
