Fatal mutilation of animals
- Human use of live animal parts
Incidence
Sharks are caught solely for the purpose of obtaining their dorsal fin, which is cut off and the live animal thrown back into the ocean. The sword from the head of the narwhal swords is similarly taken by fishermen for sale to tourists. Frog legs are pulled off the live frogs by chefs, who then discard the live body.
