False bomb warnings

More than 100 hoax calls and over 200 suspect parcels resulted in cordoning off procedures which closed many parts of the London Underground one day in 1994. Although hoax calls are received every day, this spate of false bomb warnings was linked to fatal terrorist bombings earlier in the year.
