Where possible transnational corporations favour: inflated contracts (over-invoicing imports and under-invoicing exports); manipulation of commodity prices and of transfer pricing; excessive transfer of profits and other capital gains out of the developing country; and preference for external borrowing instead of bringing in new equity capital.
