Early autumn

  • Sickness in trees

Nature

Early autumn, when trees change colour earlier than normal, is a classic sign of sickness in trees. Another sign is bare or sparsely foliated treetops. Early autumn can also be a result of drought conditions, pests or diseases affecting trees. However, pollution and the effect of ozone depletion are increasingly being considered the cause of repeated early autumns.
